Our leaky basement issue was very challenging and complex to diagnose. I can tell Dagne (V.P. of GLW) and her team really care about their reputation and the customer. I am a small business owner myself and have no ties to this company. In fact, I purchased a home and the lifetime warranty was transferred over to me from the previous home owner who chose to do business with GLW. That transfer of ownership did not matter to GLW, what mattered was solving the leak and satisfying a customer.

I was so pleased to discover Great Lakes Waterproofing about a year ago. Over the years my husband and I did many things to waterproof our basement and old well house but nothing worked. He had dug up and tarred the outside, we had a company put some sort of an outside underground gutter, I had paved my driveway all the way to the house slanting it away, I had landscapers add fill dirt at the front to slope drainage away, I put gutters on the roof. STILL I had a river flowing down the side of my basement when there was any rain. My son discovered Great Lakes when researching companies so that he could sell his house last year.

I researched this company and discovered it invented the outside-injection process in the 1970s for sealing basements without having to dig up the ground/foundation. They understand the concept that, if the water is coming from the outside, you need to treat it from the outside to keep the water off the wall! Other companies only have the inside systems that don’t address the source (external) of the water. Great Lakes has a variety of options, and the volclay-bentonite they provided for my house permanently stopped the water and mold!

We purchased our house from someone who had hired them initially. So we are a license transfer of warranty. We had them come out to our house twice to service some water issues and they very prompt, courteous and did an excellent job. It’s been around three years now and all is dry.
